REDCLIFFE MUSICAL THEATRE and GHOSTLIGHT THEATRE Company are thrilled to be bringing the AUSTRALIAN Premiere of "THE EXORCIST" to THEATRE 102.
THE EXORCIST is a stage adaptation of William Peter Blatty's novel of the same name, famously adapted into a film in 1973. This theatrical production brings the chilling tale of demonic possession to life on stage.
Set in Georgetown, Washington D.C., the story revolves around the possession of a young girl named Regan MacNeil. Disturbing events begin to unfold as Regan's behavior becomes increasingly erratic and violent. Her concerned mother seeks help from medical professionals, but when conventional treatments fail to explain Regan's condition, they turn to Father Damien Karras, a troubled Jesuit priest.
As Father Karras investigates, he confronts his own crisis of faith while grappling with the possibility of demonic possession. With the help of experienced exorcist Father Merrin, Karras embarks on a harrowing battle against the forces of evil to save Regan's soul.
The stage adaptation of THE EXORCIST typically employs a combination of innovative staging techniques, special effects, and intense performances to create a gripping and terrifying experience for audiences. The play delves into themes of faith, doubt, and the existence of evil, leaving audiences on the edge of their seats as they witness the struggle between good and evil unfold before their eyes.
Starring CHARLOTTE RUBENDRA alternating with KAITLYN HARDING as REGAN, JABADE BROWN-OAKES as FATHER KARRAS and SCOTT BLACK as FATHER MERRIN.
