WICKED HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS –
support the Queensland Premiere of this magical musical
WEEK ONE - Monday 27th June to Friday 1st July we will run PRIMARY (5-11yrs) Workshops in singing, dancing, acting and performance with a very WICKED flavour. Workshops will run from 9am-4pm with a 1 hour break 12noon-1pm. Learn songs from Wicked, learn about the characters and how they should look. Learn one of the main dances from the production and meet some of the main characters from the Redcliffe production.
Monday 4th July to Friday 8th July we will run SECONDARY (12yrs and over) Workshops in singing, dancing, acting and performance with a very WICKED flavour. Workshops run from 9am-4pm with a 1 hour break 12noon-1pm. Learn songs from Wicked, learn about the characters and how they should look. Learn one of the main dances from the production and meet some of the main characters from the Redcliffe production.
All those 16 years and over can join the ADULT workshops being held in the evening 6-9pm or weekends 9am-12noon and 1-4pm. We are offering workshops in audition techniques, dance – various styles, vocals – learn the POPULAR songs from the production, performance skills – hone your skills at presenting your favourite Wicked song to an audience, characterisation – with a focus on the mystical and magical characters of Wicked and finally a special effects make-up workshop based on creating the incredible “looks” of Elphaba, Chistery and Dr Dillamond among others.
These Workshops are being run by key Production Team members and RMT creatives as well as the cast of WICKED – the Queensland Premiere – the proceeds of which will go to support bringing this amazing musical and the incredible special effects - such as flying Galinda and Elphaba - to the stage in Redcliffe.
